I am small and of little account yet I do not forget your commandments. Psalm 119:141

My devotional reading this morning had several verses about children.

Psalm 107: 8 -9  Let us give thanks to the Lord for His mercy and the wonders He does for His children.  For He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.

Psalm 8:2  Out of the mouths of infants and children, O Lord, your majesty is praised above the heavens.

Matthew 18: 1-4  At this  time the disciples came to Jesus and said "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?"  So he called a little child to him whom He set among them.  Then he said "In truth, I tell you, unless you change and become like little children you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.  And so, one who makes himself as a little as this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

So this morning, as you read this, would you lift up the two children who are in our home?

Pray for our lovely teenager who has a year and a half left here.  She is dealing with a heavy academic load, a busy schedule, AP classes, PSAT's and more.  She has a heart for justice and orphans and a big interest in the world.

Pray for our snuggly, roly poly foster son.  Thank God that he has gained weight and is growing and developing.  Pray for his lung issues-there may be some permanent damage due to inhaling formula while in the orphanage.  Pray and look for a family for him-one that would delight in him and welcome him in.

And pray for us as parents- for wisdom as we parent these two very different children.
